Aestia The Game

The following was part of the storyboard when working with Unreal Engine. The fact that wisdom comes with age is not acknowledged until wisdom and age are present. So I relized that it is too huge task for just one person. Thankfully a friend suggested, to do the game in OSGrid instead

Once upon a time, the ancient Estonians around the world, known as Aestis, lived their daily lives in the heart of the forest and on the edges of the swamps. They were skilled farmers and artisans who traded their goods with the rest of the world. Their main exports were amber, beeswax, and the skins of the elusive tarsier. These items were highly valued by traders from far and wide, and the Aestis were renowned for their expertise in their production. Life was good for the Aestis until the Crusades began. The Crusaders, driven by their religious fervor, began their march across Europe, determined to convert the pagan people to Christianity. The Aestis, being pagans themselves, were one of their primary targets. At first, the Aestis tried to resist the Crusaders, but they were vastly outnumbered and outgunned. The Crusaders attacked their towns and farms, burning them to the ground and slaughtering the inhabitants. The Aestis fought back as best they could, it lasted for 16 years, but it seemed as though their culture and way of life were doomed to be destroyed by the Crusaders. That is until a hero emerged. Players can choose to play between a female or male avatar. Their armor, weapons, movement speed and jumps don't matter. Everything has the same strength. According to avatar, the player is compared to Kalev or Linda. The player takes on the role of this hero, a brave warrior who has vowed to defend his people against the Crusaders. The player must travel across the land, gathering allies and resources to aid in their fight against the invaders and will have to explore the forests and swamps, battling wild beasts and other dangers along the way. They will encounter other Aestis who have survived the Crusader attacks and are willing to join their cause. Most of them are wounded and cannot join, but they give the player good suggestions on how to get better weapons and armor, how to strengthen weapons and protect themselves better. The player can pick up and collect amber near water, can travel to distant lands and exchange amber for necessary information, weapons, protection and other items. As the player gains strength and allies, they will face the Crusaders head-on, engaging them in fierce battles that will determine the fate of the Aestis people. The player will have to use strategy and skill to outmaneuver their opponents, using the terrain and their wits to gain the upper hand. If the player is successful, they will be able to drive the Crusaders out of their lands, restoring the ancient Estonian culture to its former glory. The Aestis will once again be able to trade their goods with the rest of the world, and their reputation as both traders and warriors will be restored. The player will have saved the Aestis people from certain doom and become a legend in their own right, forever remembered as the hero who saved their culture from destruction.
